From my previous post, I've just mentioned the awesome and inspiring run of Lady Dragons in the 40th WNCAA Season!
Since joining the league in 2004, the basketball team have been cellar-dwellers to champions, defeating LCCM Blue Royals in an epic Game 3, with MVP Ara Biolena, scoring a runner for a close win to take the crown @ 56-53 !
However, the volleyball team were always a Final 4 contender, until seasoned veterans graduated. From there, the team took a nosedive, but resurrected themselves with a championship last year, beating CEU Lady Scorpions in a Game 2, 5-set thriller! Furthermore, the Cheering Squad, came away with 2nd runner-up honors in the Cheerleading Competition! They used to languish at the bottom of the standings as well.

Kudos to our opponents for giving us a heck of a fight! See you!
Both teams are now elevated to the competitive Seniors A, wherein LPU Lady Pirates and the CSB Lady Blazers have met in the finals for the last 6 times in basketball. Furthermore, the volleyball scene is lorded by the 7-time champion, LPU Lady Pirates. Who will dare to challenge them for the crown this year?

The UA&P community is not expecting much, but to take one game at a time. From there, Final 4 contender, to avoid a return in Division B. The rule is last 2 teams in Div. A go to Div. B. Meanwhile, Div. B Champion & 1st runner-up will be elevated to Div. A. We are hoping for a better result in Futsal, where we used to be perennial finalists and a champion. Last year, we were just ahead of CEU. Nothing but up for our teams!
Of course, we will be praying for the teams, players and coaches, the supporters, families, officials & staff of the whole league. This is to prevent injuries, instill sportsmanship, fair play, discipline, friendship and camaraderie. By going to the games, especially in the eliminations, we can show our support, which can be a morale-booster.
Hopefully, the school will continue to offer transportation, not just in the Finals.
