The Art of Gratitude

Nowadays, we are so busy getting caught with life that we forget the 'little things'. I was up for some awakening on my recent Singapore trip. The people there were so nice and respectful that I always ended up saying "please" and "thank you".

Along with those words, I reckon to thank god for everything- my parents, the things I have, my siblings, and everything in between, even if it means being unsure of my career prospects after leaving my recent work.
"Without anything, you learn to appreciate everything around you".

Knowing that I have nothing to lose, it makes you stronger and take chances. I mean I just kept applying and who knows that I might get the call soon and unexpectedly. This open mindset has made me appreciative at every interview and test that I have done and taken. Only means that I am given the chance to prove myself in these terms and it's really up to me to do well.

In addition, I've learned to be cordial and ensure to thank my interviewees for their time, and follow-up through e-mail or a phone call. It never hurts- just not in an annoying way.

Indeed, life has its own way of surprising and humbling us in a good way.
