Review: The Four-Faced Liar film

Aside from reading, one of my favorite past times is to watch independent and LGBT films. Thanks to the internet, I've been able to do streaming and downloading films. Moreover, when I like it so much, I will get the DVD copy (original, mind you) or at least for the time being, watch it over and over again.

Anyway, just to briefly discuss the film, the Four-Faced Liar http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y15Ym3BFLOY is a drama-comedy about 20-somethings living in New York. Trip, and his friend Bridget (gay) with Molly and Greg got to know each other and hook-up (gather) in a pub called The Four-Faced Liar http://www.thefour-facedliar.com/

As Trip and Greg bond over sports and games, Bridget and Molly bond over Wuthering Heights since both are Literature majors. As the drama unfolds, Molly finds herself drifting away from Greg  and attracted to Bridget. Bridget the lesbian womanizer, uses her wit and charm, connecting and wanting Molly.

In the end, Molly and Trip chooses the one who 'gets him/her'.

Bridget (Marja-Lewis Ryan) is also the writer, and has done a great job for a her first film. Her honest portrayal of her acting and writing skills, without being over-the-top. Meanwhile, credit is due to the other actors as well for being a great supporting cast and delivering their lines like they were veterans in the industry. Although the shoot scenes were limited to the flats, pub, park, the viewer doesn't feel restricted in terms of space, because of brilliant story development. The characters totally connect and grow together and individually.

Overall, The Four-Faced Liar is a must-watch, funny film that delves on the regular lives of close friends trying to find themselves. Rating 8/10.
